In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Power Grid Corporation of India posted a net profit of ₹4,028.3 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The CNBC-TV18 poll had predicted a profit of ₹4,020.5 crore for the quarter under review.
Bombay Dyeing | The company reported a 12.6% increase in revenue for Q3 FY25, with sales reaching ₹414.8 crore, up from ₹369.2 crore in the same quarter last year. The company swung to a positive EBITDA of ₹15.9 crore, compared to a loss of ₹24.2 crore in Q3 FY24, reflecting a significant turnaround in operational performance. EBITDA margin stood at 3.8%. The results demonstrate progress in improving profitability despite market challenges.
KEC International | Infrastructure company reported a 33.8% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹129.6 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, KEC International posted a net profit of ₹96.9 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations increased 6.8% to ₹5,349.4 crore as against ₹5,006.7 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Gland Pharma | Drug Gland Pharma Ltd on Monday (February 3) reported a 6.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit at ₹204.7 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company posted a net profit of ₹191.9 crore. Revenue from operations fell 10.4% to ₹1,384 crore against ₹1,545.2 crore year-on-year.
Welspun Enterprises | The company reported a 13.4% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹77.5 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Welspun Enterprises posted a net profit of ₹89.5 crore. Revenue from operations surged 22.7% to ₹866.9 crore against ₹706.7 crore a year ago. At the operating level, EBITDA was up 1.5% to ₹128.2 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal over ₹126.3 crore in Q3 FY24
Tata Chemicals | The company reported a net loss of ₹21 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. This is against a net profit of ₹194 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal. An exceptional charge of ₹70 crore, consisting of estimated expenses related to employee termination benefits, decommissioning of plant and machinery, and other closure-related incidental expenses, was taken in Q3FY25, in relation to cessation of soda ash production at the Lostock plant in Northwich, UK.
Garden Reach Shipbuilders | State-run company declared its December quarter results after market hours on Monday, February 3, which showed both revenue and profit growth on a year-on-year basis, along with margin expansion. The company’s revenue grew by 37% from the year-ago quarter to ₹1,271 crore, while its net profit saw a 12% growth from the same quarter last year to ₹98 crore.
Premier Energies | The company’s revenue increased by 140.6% from last year to ₹1,713 crore, while its Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) crossed the ₹500 crore mark, coming in at ₹513.7 crore. Premier Energies had reported an EBITDA of ₹123 crore in the base quarter.
HFCL | Domestic telecom gear maker reported a 10.35 % year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹73.7 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024, against ₹82.2 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Revenue from operations fell 2% to ₹1,012 crore compared to ₹1,032.3 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Thyrocare Technologies | Diagnostics firm reported a 24% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit at ₹19.1 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024, compared to ₹15.4 crore in the same period in FY24. Revenue from operations was up 23.2% to ₹165.9 crore against ₹134.7 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Gateway Distriparks | Multimodal logistics operator reported a 606.2% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹455.5 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024 over ₹64.5 crore in Q3 FY24. The profit after tax (PAT) included an exceptional income of ₹390.77 crore due to a fair valuation of equity on consolidation of Snowman Logistics Limited, which became a subsidiary on December 24, 2024.
