Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) rose over 1% following an order worth ₹30,000 crore from the Indian Army. IndusInd Bank climbed more than 1% after an upgrade by Morgan Stanley, while Muthoot Finance and Manappuram Finance recovered nearly 2% each as gold prices extended their record run.
Oil India advanced 2% after reporting a natural gas discovery in the Andaman offshore block. IRFC rose 2% after signing loan agreements worth ₹20,000 crore. Vascon Engineering surged 20% following a memorandum of understanding with Adani Infra, expected to boost annual revenue by 30%. Paradeep Phosphates gained 7% on plans to set up a new sulphuric acid plant in Odisha, while Wockhardt jumped over 15% after the US exempted trade partners from pharmaceutical tariffs.
However, shipbuilding stocks witnessed profit booking and closed lower, with Garden Reach down more than 4%.
