The board approved his appointment through a circular resolution on November 27, based on the Nomination & Remuneration Committee’s recommendation.
Nair, who now joins the company’s senior management team has served in senior roles at companies like Alembic and Glenmark in the past. “He brings over 40 years of extensive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry,” the company said in its exchange filing.
He holds a B.Sc. from SIES College, Mumbai, and a diploma in Materials Management from Mumbai University.
“His distinguished career reflects a consistent excellence in operational management, process optimization, and supply chain transformation,” the company added.
Bajaj Healthcare believes that Nair’s “deep expertise and proven track record will play a pivotal role in driving” the organisation towards “greater efficiency and enhanced performance.”
The company clarified that Nair is not related to any of its existing board members.
Shares of Bajaj Healthcare closed 426.50 ahead of the announcement. The stock has fallen 6.19% in the last one month.
